Camp at St. Teresa's on the corner of Mars Hill and Ford Road in Acworth. Contact Caroline Schaefer at 770 337-0106 or email her at cschaefer@bellsouth.net Hi, I’m Caroline Schaefer, a local mom w/ 3 girls, the oldest is 13, Marisa & my twins, are 10 and I have been married for 21 years. Our family has attended Ford Elementary School for the past 8 years and I’ve been a volunteer in many aspects at Ford, includingArt Awareness Instructor- 6 yrs, Earth Parent Mom-2 yrs, Room Mom and a Girl Scout Leader for 6 yrs. I have taught Children’s Chapel at as well as VBS. I have coached new mother’s of multiples on breast feeding and hospital issues. Presently, I facilitate a parenting program called “Becoming a Love & Logic Parent”. This program has been given at Ford & our family has implemented it in our home for the last 4 years. Ford is officially a “Love & Logic” school, having trained their entire staff on this program.

You may have seen it on PBS, it’s the best parenting resource you’ll find! The program offers kids choices and lets their decisions be the consequence for their actions. It makes them accountable which in turn, removes some pressure off the parent, and
teaches kids responsibility and decision making skills. You may see positive results on the first day that you implement the program!!! Your family’s relationships will improve! 100% of my past participating parents, would refer this program to others!

This camp will inspire your children! Jump rope is becoming very popular, especially w/ the latest Disney movie, “Jump In”. It’s a simple way to stay in shape (300% more efficient exercise than a treadmill) & aids any athlete in timing and agility. We will try
to get as creative as possible and include popular dance moves into the ropes! The camp will have a word of the day, such as Dignity, Respect, Compliments, Manners, and Kindness. These words will show children the power they possess, and how they
can affect others in a positive way. I use “Love and Logic” directly with my camp kids. AND on Friday, a fun PARENT SHOW.
