Manna Food Ministry

By Trisha Sisk

St. Teresa's Manna Ministry is a wonderful program set to serve as Christ's hands within our church family, providing meals for families who have had a major transition in their lives such as a birth, a hospitalization, moving, or a death in the family. In 2007, more than 19 volunteers have provided 13 St. Teresa's families with "bread from heaven" in times of need. A big Thank You to all our volunteers! Still, Manna Ministry is in need of new volunteers. This is an excellent opportunity to give your time and talent to serve those in need. It's also easier than you might think; when called on, you would just cook two meals for that evening - one for your family and one for the recipient family - and drop off the meal around or before dinner time. It is a great way to help within our church family. Please Email me at trishasisk@yahoo.com or call 770/917-1711 if you would like to be on our Manna Ministry volunteer list. Also, if think you might have been on the volunteer list before, but haven't been asked to volunteer in a while, let me know. Remember: "Many hands make light the burden." Trisha Sisk, Coordinator
