Any parishioner is welcome to attend. The Chairperson of the Committee for 2007 is Joe Zirkel (zirkelj@bellsouth.net).
Year Round "Giving Tree" Program
Building upon the success of "The Giving Tree" at Christmas, Mission and Ministry will be introducing the Year Round Giving Tree/Adopt a Family Program.
Families who were helped by the Giving Tree project often have year-round needs. Mission and Ministry has identified a number of those families who would benefit from continuous support and relationship with the members of St. Teresa's.
Spare Change Sunday
The first Sunday of the month is designated Spare Change Sunday. A special offering is taken by the Children of spare change. These monies are designated to benefit Heifer International, a non-profit organization whose goal is to help end world hunger and poverty through self-reliance and sustainability. Over $1,554.33 has been collected for this worthy project.

St. Laurence Tutoring Program
Takes place in the Paulding County Boys and Girls Club located on Academy Road in Dallas, GA. Tutors meet with mainly kindergarten through 5th grade students, Monday through Thursday, from 3 pm to 5 pm. Occasionally 6th - 9th graders need some help but most of our time is spent with the elementary school children. This is a great opportunity to truly make a difference in a child's life. When the tutoring program first began, only 15% of these children were passing the statewide tests. Six years into the program, 85% of those children involved in the tutoring program are passing.
