"The one who sings, prays twice!"

Choir robed Christians throughout the ages have known this truth even if they have never  heard of St. Augustine. At St. Teresa's Adult and Youth Choirs support the worship of the congregation. We enjoy performing a wide variety of music from different periods of church history and seasons of the year.  We welcome your presence and participation.

We have two Youth Choirs.  The St. Teresa's Angels  (ages 5-10) and the St. Teresa's Saints  (ages 11-18).  Choir practice takes place as part of our Wednesday Evening Events.  The older group has blossomed into a really fine singing ensemble.  The younger Youth Choir is generally involved learning and performing a short play.

The Adult Choir performs during the 10:45 service every Sunday and on other special occasions.  Rehearsals are held Wednesday night at 7:15 p.m. and Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. The Youth Choirs perform periodically and on special occasions such the afternoon Christmas Eve Service.  The Adult Choir offered over 125 anthems for services during 2007.  Their dedication never waivers!  This choir performs a wide assortment of Christian music including, but not limited to, classical composers such as Poulenc, Vivaldi, Bach and others as well as the works of modern composers.

The dedication of the new digital keyboard was a wonderful event for the musical worship at St. Teresa's. To all the people who gave so generously--Thank you! Thank you! We are truly fortunate to have a choir so dedicated to their service each week. We fully experience the old adage, "he who sings prays twice." If the congregation receives only half the blessing we get from doing it, we are all filled to overflowing. Sometimes the music is designed to make us happy, sometimes to make us introspective, and sometimes to remind us of the grandeur of
God. Whatever your favorite genre, we will eventually do it! Many have said that we are the "party" group of the church. Guilty. We laugh together often. But we also know how to support one another during difficult times. So we also share the tears. Statistically a church our size should have thirty people in the adult choir. We welcome you to share our musical prayers, our joys and our sorrows. Perhaps YOU need us as much as we need you. It is my privilege to be the music director during this dynamic time of the church. Now and again--but not too often--the choir lets me think that I am in control.
